T? V Nande set up a battery testing center in Thailand
The center was announced to be established in 2019 with a total investment of 13.5 million euros, aiming to become the largest and most modern lithium-ion battery testing center in ASEAN.
Covering an area of more than 3000 square meters, the center can easily obtain global expertise and local technology to meet quality and safety requirements. This includes battery performance and life cycle as well as environmental and durability testing. T? V the test center of South Germany group in Baton Thani, Thailand, has been in operation for 10 years. The center can meet the requirements of safety, quality, security and sustainable development.
Patcharada nawakawongkarn, director of the fourth regional investment and economic center (chunburi) of the Investment Commission of Thailand, said: "this test center is a project that plays an important role in supporting the development of the ecosystem of the electric vehicle industry in Thailand. It will also help promote Thailand to become a production base of electric vehicles and an important part of the government's promotion policies."
The provincial capital of chunburi will also become the location of the battery factory announced by Florida electric vehicle company evlomo more than a year ago. Around the same time, evlomo announced its intention to establish a DC charging network in Thailand.
Daimler and Asian automakers such as Nissan, Honda and Toyota have also recently made Thailand their manufacturing location.
